At 10:39 AM, August 13, 2009, Lydia Ann Gray joined the breathing world. Everything progressed marveously at the hospital and Becca’s operation went smoothly. There were no complications and Lydia was healthy, screaming and kicking. She weighed in at 7 lb 7.8 oz and measured 18 inches long. Becca’s parents have visited and seen the new addition and Nathan has now met his new baby sister. He kept saying “baby?” and seemed interested but was quick to ask to be picked up by both Momma and Dadda. It will be a bit of an adjustment for him but we’re confident it will work out fine. We praise God for His wonderful kindness and mercy with such an amazing gift. It truly is a miracle everytime a living baby is brought into the world and we are awed that God would allow us the privilege of raising one of His little girls. Please pray for us as we try to raise our children in the Lord and as we try to communicate God’s beauty and fullness to them. We pray that they would both love Him always and find their satisfaction in Him, as we have. Thank you, Father!

I’m working on a couple of blog posts since returning to the land of high-speed internet
. Stay tuned.
For now, though, we wanted to direct your attention to a little remodeling we are doing on the blog site. Near the top of the column to the left, you will see a section called “Our Pages.” Within this is a list of ministry opportunities that the hospital is facing. Take a look, if you get a chance. We hope to be able to use this to better keep people informed of the needs of the ministry.
Thanks, Paul

Paul made it back to us! Nathan and I were so excited to finally see him. After a very long journey, including an Ethiopian car ride, 2 long flights, a few days in Chicago, a flight to Dallas and a drive to Galveston….he made it.
We have had so much fun as a family together again. And as predicted Nathan’s new favorite word is “dada”, which mama, is quite thankful for, especially considering her growing belly and loss of agility when entertaining a toddler.
We are scheduled to have Lydia on August 13th with a repeat C-section. We are very excited to meet her, although, we are enjoying spoiling Nathan as the “only child” for at least a few more days. Thanks for all of your prayers as we were apart and God willing we won’t have to do that again for a long time.
